First Motion Capture Tests | Emanuel - Week 13

Test Before the holidays I wanted to be able to test out the Xsens suit, I asked Cristian to be the talent for the the first test but I first had to get familiar with the suit. Before I set out to try the suit I set up a document called Prosecutor "V-Tuber" as I was essentially creating a puppet like many other V-Tubers have created. The documents have multiple links to useful tutorials and also the needed equipment to get everything to work.

I required the MVN Animate software, this software is where the motion capture data get sent. After getting Cristian in the suit in approximately 30 minutes, we connected him to the MVN Animate Software and tested how well the technology worked. First thing to do is calibrate the talent with the MVN Animate Software. There are two methods, n-pose and t-pose. There is no difference in accuracy depending on what you use, it's just a preference of the talent and what you may need motion capture for. We tried both and didn't really have a preference, and each calibration looked about the same. If there is a difference its just the start pose.

The following video is one of the recordings made of Cristian wearing the suit and the MVN Animate Software being connected.

The suit set up is quite easy and gets faster the more you try it, and to connect to the MVN Animate Software is quite easy.

The next phase is to connect it this to MetaHuman.
